1. Physical Abilities

You need to be able to work with large pieces of metal, such as those required on airplanes and large vehicles. You need to be able to lift and stoop to get these pieces, and be capable of bending and twisting to assemble or disassemble pieces.

Often, you will have to read blueprints or interpret sketches, and math skills help with this. You will be called upon to calculate the dimensions to be welded.
